Here it is possible to name many names, first of all, Strike (latinizirovannoe Razes) and Ibn Sinu (latinizirovannoe Avitsenna) which were not only the well-known doctors, but also masters of all branches of knowledge - mathematicians, philosophies, physicists, music. They have collected, have translated and have partially processed products of classical doctors of an antiquity. They also posess also original products which were studied in the European countries.

Abu Bakr Mohammed ben Zakarija Strike (860-925), undoubtedly, belongs to number of the most ingenious doctors of all times. It managed to bring up the whole generation of doctors. To its feather belong over two hundred proceedings, it the first has published work about a smallpox and a measles. Except textbooks by children's illnesses, diseases of joints and kidneys, Strike has written the big encyclopaedia devoted to medicine as a whole. Being it is translated into Latin language under the title ' Liber continentis', the book this served many centuries as rather popular textbook of medicine in many European universities.

Strike has devoted this largest work to Caliph Al Mansuru. In the award for it the Arabian lord has generously presented Strike, and so has become interested in its works on alchemy that has allocated a great sum of money for construction of its furnaces and devices. When all was ready, the Caliph has ordered Strike to make at its presence scientific experiments. But experiences have not gone right. The angered Caliph named Strike the deceiver and has knocked its whip on the head so unsuccessfully that the scientist has gone blind.

So the legend says. Judging, however, to that pupils advised Strike to perform operation of eyes, it had a cataract - the illness, often amazing older persons. Disappointed with a life and discouraged by failures, Strike has disagreed on operation. Year of his death precisely is not established. In sources 925th are mentioned or even by 934th.
