There Comes an epoch of formation of a scientific method. The mathematics becomes the new tool of knowledge of the physicist, astronomy, chemistry, later - in biology and other sciences. Rene Descartes formulates four rules, obligatory for a scientific method of research of the nature.

1. Never to accept for true anything that I would not learn with evidence.

2. To divide each of difficulties investigated by me into so much parts, how many it is possible and it is necessary for their best overcoming.

3. To adhere to a certain order of thinking, since subjects of more simple and most easily learnt and leaving gradually to knowledge of more difficult.

4. To make always lists so full and reviews so the general that there was a confidence of absence of omissions.

Approaches Are groped, and the more and more general laws of behaviour of gases and liquids open; there are two theories explaining the nature of light.
